︎Valentin Bourdon
Living an ordinary common

Valentin Bourdon is a French architect and a PhD student at the Laboratory of Construction and Conservation (LCC), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, since 2017. His research explores the Common as an architectural subject. In support of significant historical experiences, and contemporary subjects, such a project aims to help overcome the delay taken by architecture comparing to other disciplines in the appropriation of the notion of ‘common’. More specifically, it focuses on the significant relationships between architecture, Common and habitat, across the scale of the city, that of the collective space and that of the housing unit.
